India women would be seen putting their nails against favorite Sri Lanka women in the final match of the Women’s Asia Cup 2022 as they are aiming to lift their 7th Asia Cup title. The clash for the trophy between both will be held on Saturday, October 15 at Sylhet International Stadium at 1:00 PM. If India wins the final, it would be their third Asia Cup title in the T20 format, and 7th Asia Cup title including four in the ODI format in 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2008.
The tournament brought to fore India’s depth as the younger crop of players has shouldered the burden of taking the team to the final without any tangible contribution from skipper Harman Preet Kaur and her assistant Smriti Mandhana. Kaur has scored only 81 runs off 71 balls in four games, while Mandhana could not perform much as per expectations.
