India will face whom in the semi-finals this picture cleared after England’s win over New Zealand at midnight on Thursday. Now, India will face the CWG-2022 host English team which is placed in Group B. Team India, which registered their great win in a do-or-die battle against Barbados and defeated them by 100 runs and stand now one step far from the Gold Medal competition. On the other hand, the second semi-final match will be played between Australia and New Zealand. Both semi-finals match will be held at the Edgbaston ground in Birmingham on August 6.


England won the last Group B match by 7 wickets and 50 balls left against Kiwi Team. The all-rounder Sophie Devine-led Kiwi team scored 71/9 in 20 overs. The host English team chased easily the winning target of 72 within 11.4 overs with the loss of three wickets.


India is in their full form as they defeated Barbados women in a very exciting mode. Indian pacer Renuka Singh Thakur wreaked havoc on the Barbados team she picked 4/10 wickets in 4 overs. Thakur played a dominating role in the second inning as she booked Barbados opener D.

Dottin on the third ball of the second inning. Thakur’s storming fire was continuing till her finishing over. The women batter Jemimah Rodrigues scored a brilliant half-century 56 off 46 balls and helped India to raise a good score against Barbados.


Team India is shining having the Star performer like Smriti Mandhana, Shafali Verma, Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur, Jemimah Rodrigues, the Record holder pacer Renuka Singh Thakur and others at CWG-2022.
There are many expectations of the Gold Medal among Indian fans as well as Indian contingent participants at Birmingham from the Indian cricket team. They hope that the Indian squad will finish their CWG campaign with gold as Harmanpreet and Smriti Mandhana, the Indian vice-captain have promised.


We are aiming definitely only for Gold and I don’t think that we will look for just podium finish. We have an opportunity to prove Indian woman’s strength as Earlier Neeraj Chopra performed in Olympic, Mandhana had said soon before leaving to Birmingham.
