Basketball Hall of Fame KC Jones dies at 88

Boston. Basketball Hall of Fame KC Jones died here on Saturday at the age of 88. He was suffering from Alzheimer’s for many years. One of the most successful players and coaches, Jones won 11 championships with the Celtics, eight as a player and three as a coach. Celtics legend Larry Bird said in a statement,

“KC is the coolest guy I’ve met. He would do anything to make people feel good. It’s an honor to play with him.”

Tony Heinson, another Celtics Hall of Fame member, died on November 9 before Jones. Two days before Jones’s death, the team remembered Tommy before the match.
