Michael Jordan shoes sold at auction for Rs 4 crore 60 lakh

London. The shoe, worn by NBA legend Michael Jordan, has been sold in an online auction for US $ 61,5000 (Rs 460 million). It was auctioned by Christie’s Auctions in partnership with Stadium Goods under the name Original Air.

According to the BBC report, these sneakers belong to Air Jordan 1, which Chicago Bulls star Jordan wore to an exhibition match in 1985.

The report further states that all nine pairs of shoes that Jordan has sold during his 14-year career have been auctioned off and Christie’s has auctioned them.

“The shoes were once the largest collection of historic Michael Jordan shoes to date,” Christie said.

In June, Jordan and the Nike-owned Jordan Brand announced they would donate $100 million to organizations dedicated to promoting racial equality and social justice.
