Time flies’: Virat Kohli recalls his 11 years of Test cricket

Virat Kohli recalls his days earlier when on the same day which was 11 years ago, he played his first test match. The match he played was against West Indies at Kingston. Precisely it was back in 2011.

Since than Virat Kohli has so far played more than a century of matches (101) amassing 8043 runs precisely. During this tenure of 11 years his highest scoring runs was against South Africa in the ICC World test championship and where they thrashed SA by an innings and 137 runs to take unassailable lead of 2-0 in the 3-match series.

Recalling the happiest moments from his life Virat Kohli shared his memories back from 2011 through his twitter handle captioning it as “Time Flies”. Have a look below,

The memories shared by the player was well received by the netizens. Till the time of writing this piece of article the post from Virat received more 50K likes along with re-tweets up to 6194 and counting.

Coincidently, even BCCI shared a post a few hours ago stating how special is June 20th captioning team Indian. So, what was special about the post?

In the post shared by BCCI, it showed that how Rahul Dravid and Saurav Ganguly in the year 1996 on the same day i.e., 20th June, made their test debut as well!!

Currently the entire team including Virat Kohli is in Leicester, where they will be preparing for the T20 match against T20 first, secondly, team India will clash against the English which is a rescheduled match from the last year (2021) and to be held at the Edgbaston cricket stadium.

The 6th test series between India vs England will commence from July 1st and will see and ending around 5th of the same month. Once it gets finished, team India will involve themselves for a 3 -match T20I series against England again, starting from July 7th. And then with the same team a 3 match ODI series. It will be interesting to see how the Indian team performs on the English turf and against batsmen like Joe Root, Jos Butler who are in their best form so far. Joe Root is sitting at the top of the ICC’s test ranking table with 897 points whereas Virat Kohli sitting at the 10th spot with 742 points.

It seems that the former captain (Virat Kohli) is missing his old days when he used to get all the attention and recognition which when compared to now is just opposite due to his poor form and performance.

Virat was, is and will be always be the best, its just the cloud surrounding him are bit thicker when compared to the others!!
