Team India opener Shikhar Dhawan is set to play a new role as a hero in a Bollywood movie. The 36-year-oldwill be seen in a special appearance in Sonakshi Sinha and Huma Qureshi’s starrer upcoming slice-of-life comedy film Double XL. The movie follows the story of two plus-sized women seeking their dreams. The movie is directed by Satramm Ramani.
As an athlete playing for the nation, life is always very hectic. One of my favorite pastimes is to watch good entertaining films. When this opportunity [Double XL film] came to me and I heard the story, it made a deep impact on me. The movie has a lovely message for society, Dhawan said.
