Sania says goodbye to tennis in presence of Yuvraj Singh, MC Stan

Indian tennis superstar Sania Mirza retired from international tennis last month with the Dubai Open. Sania played for India for over 20 years and she was amazing. If every city in India knows an athlete, it’s Sania Mirza. She has not only made himself proud but also made India proud in the world of tennis.

Meanwhile, a show tennis match was arranged in Sania Mirza’s hometown of Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana, to give Mirza a farewell award. While this contest was taking place yesterday (Sunday), former Indian cricket star Yuvraj Singh, Justice Minister Kiren Rijiju, and former Indian captain Mohammad Azharuddin were among those attending an exhibition match in Hyderabad. MC Stan celebrated Sania’s career with a live performance at a historic occasion in Hyderabad.

When Sania reached the ground, everyone cheered and greeted her warmly. Sania Mirza was very emotional in her farewell speech.

Sania said: “I’m excited to play the last game of my career in front of you all. It’s my greatest honor to have played for my country for 20 years. It’s every player’s dream to play for their country at the highest level and I’ve done it.”

Sania further said, “These are tears of joy. I couldn’t have asked for a better farewell. “Although I am saying goodbye to tennis, I will continue to participate in other sports, including tennis in India and Telangana, and I will continue to strive to advance it,” she said. After this speech, Sania Mirza played her last game and then Sports Minister of Telangana, V. Srinivas Gowdu, said goodbye to Sania with a speech of honor. Sania Mirza, Rohan Bopanna, Bethany Mattak Sands from the USA and Ivan Todic from Croatia played together in their last game. Sania won all mixed events.
