RCB players including Mahipal Lamror, Karn Sharma, Vyshak Vijaykumar and Suyash Prabhudesai visited Shree Siddhivinayak Mandir in Mumbai ahead of their IPL 2024 match against Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium on April 11.
The RCB players arrived in Mumbai a few days after playing the fifth match of the ongoing IPL season against Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur, where they won by five wickets. Ahead of the clash against Mumbai Indians, a few players from the RCB team decided to skip a day in training and pay a visit to Siddhivinayak Mandir.
In a picture posted by Mahipal Lomror on his Instagram story, Vyshak, Karn, Suyash and himself clicked a picture in the hall of a famous temple in Mumbai after seeking the blessings of Lord Ganesha. Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bengaluru have had a disappointing campaign as they have managed to win only one match out of the five matches played so far. RCB started their campaign with a win in the opening match of IPL 2024 against Chennai Super Kings. However, Faf du Plessis bounced back with a victory against Punjab Kings. Virat Kohli was at his best as he played a match-winning knock of 77 off 49 balls while chasing the target of 177 runs. Finally, Royal Challengers Bengaluru secured three consecutive wins against Kolkata Knight Riders, Lucknow Super Giants and Rajasthan Royals.
In the last match against RR, Virat Kohli fought solo and scored 113 off 72 balls to help RCB post a total of 183/3. However, his efforts went in vain as the RCB bowlers could not handle the onslaught of Jos Buttler (100*) and Sanju Samson (69) as RR chased down a target of 184 runs in four balls to save.
