As per the latest report, Paris Saint- Germain club has suspended Lionel Messi for two weeks. It is without pay following an unauthorized trip to Saudi Arabia. Messi flew off to Saudi Arabia soon after playing in PSG’s 3- 1 home League 1 defeat to Lorient on Sunday. He went there with his family. It was as part of his commitment to a minister for Saudi Arabia. He posted an image on Instagram with the comment “Who knows Saudi Arabia is so much green?”

As per the latest report by L’Equipe and ESPN that the trip wasn’t authorized. PSG director Christophe Galtier told players they could have Monday and Tuesday off if they beat Lorient. But a loss would require them to join for training. Messi had permission to travel to Saudi Arabia If PSG beat Lorient. Messi played the entire 90 minutes of the 3- 1 loss, which is PSG’s third defeat in their last four league games. He also flew to Saudi Arabia and was not present at training on Monday.
