Mohd Kaif hopes that Rohit Sharma will lead India in the 4th T20I against WI


Former Indian star cricketer Mohammed Kaif is hopeful that Rohit Sharma will be available to lead India in the 4th T20I match against West Indies that will be held at Central Broward Regional Park in Florida on August 6. Amid the speculation of this whether Sharma, who was retired hurt due to a back injury in the last battle against the Caribbean will continue in the team or not, Kaif expressed his hope on Thursday.

Sharma, who is leading the Indian team in the format against West Indies, suffered a back injury during the third T20 on Tuesday. At the moment he was trying to play a fierce shot on onside, but could not succeed. The BCCI medical team suddenly came to the ground and gave him primary treatment and asked him to take a rest and then Sharma went back to the pavilion.



The BCCI wrote on Twitter, “Update #TeamIndia captain Rohit Sharma has a back spasm. The BCCI medical team is monitoring his progress.


But, after Post match ceremony Sharma spoke on his injury,

I feel okay, We have got a few days till the next game, hopefully, it should be okay (Injury).

India is set to seal the series in the next fourth match as they are leading by 2-1 in the ongoing five matches T20 series. After Sharma’s retire hurt, Surya Kumar Yadav starred in the third match and scored 76 off 46 balls including 8 fours, 4 sixes. India also registered its highest run chase against West Indies in their own soil.
