Australian pacer Marcus Stoinis has ascended to the number 1 spot in the ICC Men’s T20I rankings, thanks to his impressive form in the ongoing T20 World Cup. His performance has propelled him past Afghanistan’s all-rounder Mohammed Nabi. In the updated ICC rankings, Stoinis holds the top position with a score of 231, followed by Sri Lanka captain Wanindu Hasaranga in second place, and Bangladesh star Shakib Al Hassan in third. Stoinis was an integral and often integral part of Australia’s T20 World Cup campaign, where his bowling and bowling skills contributed to a flawless qualification for the tournament’s Super 8s.

Apart from his dazzling talent in Oman, Stoinis was even more brilliant in their thrilling final match of the group against Scotland, where he scored a blistering 59 in just 29 balls.
With full strength, Australia have confidently qualified for the Super 8s of the World Cup, where they will be hoping for a performance like this from Stoinis. The Mitchell Marsh-led team will host their first Super 9 match against Bangladesh on June 21.
