The Old Trafford-based Football Club Manchester United will allow striker Cristiano Ronaldo to leave in the January transfer window, according to reports.
The-37-year-old pushed to leave United in the summer as he wanted to join a Champions League club but a move failed to materialise.
The Portugal International’s future at Man United was a far object in fog view since the start of the season as he has started just one of the club’s seven Premier League games so far.
Manager ten Hag and United were adamant that Ronaldo would not be sold in the summer, but according to the reports, both the club and the manager have agreed to let the him depart if a suitable offer arrives in January.
The reports claim that Ronaldo is still hoping to leave United before the end of season but has remained ‘highly professional’ despite his lack of playing time under Ten Hag.
Ronaldo was left on the bench for United’s 6-3 defeat to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday. With ten Hag admitting that he didn’t want to disrespect the 37-year-old by bringing him on as a substitute when the team were trailing by four goals by half-time.
Earlier, Ronaldo was in light for denying a concrete offer from a Saudi Arabia-based club worth £200 million.
Ronaldo was also offered to Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Nasser Al-Khelaifi-headed club PSG, but at a moment all clubs defused him saying that they are not interested in him.
