Indian women's team to play Tests against Australia, and England at home in 2023-24

The Superior governing body of Cricket the International Cricket Council (ICC) revealed on Tuesday the first-ever Women’s Future Tours Programme (FTP) that confirmed the bilateral international tours for 10 teams including Blue Jersey women’s team. The schedule for tour championships has been targeted for ahead three years and incorporated all formats of the game.

These ten teams would be seen in the above tour level tournaments- Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, Ireland, New Zealand, Pakistan South Africa, Sri Lanka and West Indies.

            ICC General Manager of Cricket, Wasim Khan said, the confirmation of the first-ever women’s FTP was a watershed moment for Women’s cricket.

There will be over 300 international games played as part of the 2022-2025 FTP among ten women’s contestant teams. The games are featured in seven Test matches, 135 ODIs, and 159 T20Is, added Khan.

According to the schedule, the India Women team will be playing 2 Tests, 24 ODI and 36 T20 from August 2022 to January 2025.

   As per detailed fixtures, there will be seven test matches planned during the above period. India will be hosting both England and Australia for one test each atthe end of December 2023 which will continue till the start of 2024, and the venue will be India Home.

  India women will be playing 24 ODIs and 36 T20is in their own home against NA, SA, IRE, and the Caribbean women. The Blue Jersey women’s team also will be taking a part, but away from homeland against ENG, AUS, BAN, and SL which is also part of the above 24ODIs and 36 T20Is.
