India vs England 2022: 'Kapil Dev watching from outside, doesn't know what's happening inside'- Rohit Sharma defends Virat Kohli

Indian team skipper Rohit Sharma comes out in support of his colleague and teammate, Virat Kohli. He lashes out at the noise that comes from outside and stating that he doesn’t know who these experts are, and why they are called experts when they don’t know what is going on inside the team.

By saying this, Rohit Sharma was referring to the former legendary player Kapil Dev, who recently was seen passing comments while speaking to the ABP news against the senior cricketer Virat Kohli, saying,

“If world No. 2 bowler Ashwin can be dropped from the Test side, then (once upon a time) world No. 1 batter can also be dropped,”

Kapil Dev feels that there should be healthy competition and the Indian selectors should not go with the reputation of players but for the players who are performing. He also added,

“I want competition for places in the team in a positive sense that these youngsters should try and outperform Virat,”

Probably, referring to the same, Rohit Sharma came in rescue of Virat saying,

“There are seeing from outside, they don’t know what’s happening inside the team. We have a thought process, we make the team, we debate and discuss it and think a lot about it”

Rohit continuing further said,

“The players we picked our backed, they are given opportunities. People on the outside don’t know about it. So its more important about what’s happening within our team, that’s important for me”

Lastly Rohit emphasized by saying that it takes time for someone to understand but in the inside it’s only him and his team who knows the importance, requesting all from the outside to talk as they have all the right but he very clearly added saying,

“But for us, it doesn’t matter a lot”

Recently, the skipper recovering from the COVID 19 virus, has brought team India to a 2-1 win against the English in a 3-match T20I series and will be clashing again against the same team (England) in an ODI 3-match ODI format starting from July 12th. The second and the third ODI at Lords and Old Trafford, on 14 and 17, respectively.

The skipper Rohit Sharma not only lashing people outside but has come out in praising Suryakumar Yadav for his century in the third T20I match against England. The Indian skipper calls it a fantastic chase from Yadav even though they lost the match by 17 runs recently.
