India maintains third spot in ODI team rankings after series sweep in West Indies

India manages to maintain third spot in the ODI rankings as they beat West Indies on their own home turf by 3-0. In fact, it is not the beating we should say but whitewashed the Caribbeans brutally. Coincidentally, this is not the first time India smashed the Caribbeans, but early this year, precisely in February, West Indies tour to India for a ODI as well as for a T20I matches but, as mentioned above, even at point, Indian team clean-sweeped the west Indies team by 3-0 in both the series.

But finally, the good news is that the India Cricket team tops the charts by remaining third on the ICC ODI rankings, with 110 ICC rating points. Speaking of the first and second position, New Zealand and England, remain intact with 128 and 119 ICC rating points.

Talking of fourth, India’s arch rivals, Pakistan with 106 ICC rating points sit quietly. But very soon the equation might change for the Pakistan team as they are currently clashing against Sri Lanka in a two match test series and once after the series is over, Pakistan will face India and some other teams in the form of Asia cup, and then after a three match ODI series, starting from 16th August and ending on 21st of the same month.

However, for the Indian fans, there is nothing to worry about as India is also having a busy schedule, which is ever tighter the Pakistani side. Currently, after whitewashing the Caribbeans in the ODI, and another five-match series T20I is awaiting between the two teams which is starting from 29th i.e., tomorrow and will see its end by 7th of August.

  • Then India vs Zimbabwe 3-match ODI series – 18th August – 22nd August
  • Then India Vs Australia T20I 3-match series – 23rd September – 25th September
  • Then India Vs. SA T20I 3-match series – 28th September – 3rd October
  • Then India vs. SA, ODI 3-match series – 6th October – 11th October

And then the mega event that we all are waiting for which is the ICC T20I world cup starting from October 16th.
