Sports Minister Anurag Thakur has stated that India is seriously considering bidding to host the 2036 Olympics. Thakur said the govt. can ask the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) to arrange a roadmap prior to the IOC meeting in the metropolis next year. The IOA and International Olympic Council’s (IOC) joint meeting is going to be controlled in Mumbai in September/October 2023. Earlier it had been scheduled to require a place in could 2023, however, was postponed.
India was elected to host the IOC event in May-June 2023, 40 years once it last hosted the event. India has ne’er hosted the Olympic Games in the past however the Sports Minister is assured that the country would be ready to pull it off as host cities in the past have felt less positive money impact than expected.
The IOC officers have same that it had been in preliminary negotiations with ten cities but failed to specify a time frame for an award for the 2036 edition. The 2024 athletics are going to be controlled in Paris, and the next 2 will be held in la and Brisbane.
“If Asian country is creating news in each sector, from producing to services, then why not in the field of sports? India is wanting terribly seriously at bidding for the 2036 Olympics,” Thakur told the days of India.
