India cruise to three matches ODI series sweep by 3-0 over West Indies In Port of Spain on Wednesday as India won 3rd ODI by 119 runs with DLS method. Opener Shubhman Gill’s unbeaten 98 given a clear win to India. Indian Skipper Shikhar Dhawan (58 off 74 balls) also scored a brilliant half century in the match. There were plenty delays during in start inning due to rain and weather change and. Match goes to 40 overs first and later few minutes authorities finalized it 36 overs for both team.

Indian skipper Dhawan won the toss and decided to bat first. He came on the pitch with Gill as opening pair. Both scored 113 runs as partnership for first wicket in 22.5 overs. Dhawan (58 off 74 balls, 7 fours) catch out on WI’s pacer Hayden balls. Shreyas Iyer came to bat on 3rd number and scored 44 off 34 balls including 4 fours and 1 six. The partnership between Iyer and Gill went to 86 runs on the 199 score of team. Suryakumar Yadav (8 off 6 balls) was catch out as third wicket of team and Sanju Samson (6 off 7 balls not out) and Gill (98 off 98 balls, 7 fours, 2 sixes) played till end of the inning as India raised 225/3 in 36 overs.

While chasing the target of India, West Indies got a shaky start when Caribbean opener batter as Kyle Mayers was out on the 0 score  of the team, and Sharmarh Brooks (0 off 2 balls) booked by Indian pacer Mohammed Sami on the score of 2 as second wicket. Sai Hope, the other opener batter handled a little bit of inning in the huge presser, finally he went to pavilion on the score of 47 in 9.5 ov. Following the huge pressure WI’s middle order batters could not handle the inning and finally all players succumbed in 26 overs for 137.

Gill baggs the player of match series award:

Shubhman Gill became the hero of the match as well as series, He stands out a career best 98. Gill bagged the Player of the match and Series both. He scored 205 runs in series including 2 half century.
