The Ireland vs. India game was played on June 26, 2022, and it didn’t get off to a good start for the Irish. Hardik Pandya, the Indian team’s newly elected captain, was expecting a happy day, nevertheless. In a moment, We’ll tell you all things in a short while.

The Indian team won the toss in yesterday’s first game against Ireland but chose to bowl.  But say it a fortunate or unfortunate part, down pour of rain started as the match began. The rain caused the match to be reduced at 12 overs.

In the beginning itself, it was Bhuvneshwar Kumar who too the wicket of Andy Balbirnie whereas from the other end, it was the captain of the team India who initially hit by the shot of Paul Stirling, the next minute grabbed the batsman’s wicket when he was just 4 off 5, a beautiful catch taken by Deepak Hooda.

When Gareth Delany was 8 off 9 runs, Avesh Khan, following in the captain Hardik’s footsteps, took his maiden wicket. Only Harry Tector out of 33 deliveries for the Irish team managed to score 64 runs.

Ireland team scored 108 runs of 12 overs for the Indian side to chase.

It was now the Indian team’s turn to wow the Irish squad with their striking prowess. Ishan Kishan played a brief but crucial 26 runs off 11 deliveries, and the captain himself amassed a handy 24 runs off 12 deliveries for the Hardik-led Indian team. Deepak Hooda scorched 47* off 29 balls.

The interesting about Hardik batting was he became the first captain to take wicket that too his first international T20I match on a foreign land.

The Indian team during their innings managed to score the run chase in just 9.2 over and took the lead by 1-0.

Not the second match between the two team is going to take place tomorrow, i.e., 28th June, 2022, which will also be last and the final match of the 2-match T20I series between the two teams.

India and England will square off in their rescheduled fifth test match from last year immediately following the game tomorrow. India now leads the test series against England 2-0.
