- Chahar bagged the player of the match award (3/27 of 7 overs)
After a six-month injury layoff, Indian medium pacer Deepak Chahar made a buzzing return to international cricket as he performed (3/27 of 7ov) in the first ODI against Zimbabwe in Harare on Thursday. Chahar starred in India’s big win by 10 wickets over Underdog’s team. He bagged the player of the match award.
I think I have picked up from where I left six months ago, said Chahar, in a post-match interview.

I was missing too much cricket during my injury layoff, when I got a chance I threw my full strength to put up myself and I’m happy with the result. I’ll try to make it continue, added Chahar.

Following the above big win, Team India made a 1-0 lead in ongoing three matches ODI series against Zimbabwe.
Team India will reunion in Harare on August 20, Sunday for the second ODI. They will be aiming to seal series in the match as they are leading 1-0 after first match.
