Ex-US Open champion Bianca Andreescu has offered thanks to her fans for their support on Tuesday. She said that he she is still awaiting the test results of her left ankle injury. The injury forced her out of the Miami Open grandstand ground in a wheelchair on Monday. Bianca Andreescu went down while crossing the baseline in the second set of her last 16 meeting with Ekaterina Alexandrova. She clutched her ankle and screamed in pain before retiring from the match. The 22-year-old Canadian has been struggling with injuries since beating Serena Williams to earn the U.S. Open. In Miami Open, the 2021 tournament finalist defeated Emma Raducanu, seventh-seeded Maria Sakkari and Sofia Kenin to reach the fourth round and had a set and a break against 18th-seeded Alexandrova when she picked up the injury.
