‘100 days to go’: Countdown starts for T20I World Cup 2022

The 100 day-countdown to the Grand ICC T20 World Cup Started on Friday after Australian Skipper Aaron Finch. Finch, Shane Watson, Waqar Younis, Morne Morkel launched the ‘Grand World  Cup Trophy Tour.’ The top player of 16 country across the world will participate in World Cup. Australia will hosts this Cricket Mahakumbh for the first time in it’s hallowed turf of Melbourne Cricket Ground(MCG).

            Finch, the Australian Skipper said, “The tournament will feature the World’s best men’s cricketers from 16 countries, with an Australian side.” This is the first time Australia will be hosting the T20 World Cup and the hosts will also start as the defending champions, finch told at the launch of tournament tour.

The previous ICC’s T20 World Cup 2021 has been played in UAE and the winner was Australia. Earlier it was scheduled to take place in India, but due to Covid-19 it shifted in Duabi. There is list below about ICC’s T20 start.

Australia would host the rearranged tournament in 2022

ICC’s chief Executive Geoff Allardice said, “Just 100 days to go until  the start of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Cup, there is a real sense of excitement ahead of the 16 team coming together in Australia to compete for the ultimate prize in T20 cricket.”
