Women’s Asia Cup Final: Indian wins Asia Cup final, beats Sri Lanka by 8 wickets

India women won their 7th Asia Cup title on Saturday at Sylhet International Stadium in Bangladesh. Harmanpreet-led India defeated Sri Lanka women by 8 wickets in the final match of the Women’s Asia Cup 2022. While Chasing 66 for a win, opener Smriti Mandhana (51 off 25 balls; not out) smashed a beautiful half-century as India reached 71/2 in just 8.3 overs.

  Earlier, in the first inning, fast bowler Renuka Singh’s best figure (3/5 of 3 ov) in the tournament helped India to stop Sri Lanka on a short 65/9 score. Rajeshwari Gayakwad and Sneh Rana took two wickets for India.

From Sri Lanka Side, Inoka Ranaweera (18* off 22 balls) came on the 10th number to score the most runs. Oshadi Ranasinghe (13 off 20 balls) was the second-highest scorer. Inoka and Kavisha Dilhari got one wicket for their team.
