The cricket game’s governing body ICC has announced that in the upcoming T20 world cup, the winning team will take a whopping prize money of 1.6 million, whereas the runner’s up will take half the prize money.
Let’s look at what the other teams will have for them.
- The semi- finalist’s team will get USD 400,000 which is from the USD 5.6 million total prize.
- From the Super 12 stage, all the eight teams will get 70,000 each
Speaking of Super 12 phase the teams there are already 8 teams those who has been qualified and are Australia, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, England, New Zealand, South Africa and England.
There are the teams as well grouped in two segments and are Group A and Group B and their respective team are:
- Group A – Netherlands UAE, Namibia and Sri Lanka
- Group B – Ireland, Zimbabwe, Scotland, West Indies
For any win or lose, the teams will receive USD 40,000 each.
The T20 world Cup is starting from October 16th and will see and end on November 13th.
