Virat kohli and Jasprit Bumrah get rest from the upcoming West Indies T20I tour starting from July 29th, 2022. But instead of Bumrah, keeping workload management in mind, the Indian selectors have decided to bring Kuldeep Chahal on board. Kuldeep was out since he suffered an injury in his finger, while net practicing during the T20I South Africa series.
Kuldeep is now all fit and ready to clash against the Caribbeans. Kuldeep was recently given a green signal from the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru.
Now coming back to the topic of Virat being rested, we all know how struggling form Virat is currently going through and is receiving criticism from every corner. Recently, the former Indian Cricket captain, Kapil Dev, even suggested that Virat should go do some special exercises to improve his reflexes so that his coordination between eye and hand can be made better.
Everyone, you name it we have it, Kapil Dev, Sunil Gavaskar, former Pakistani cricketer Rashid Latif, who is not criticizing the bright player. The most astonishing part is they themselves were players at some point of time.
And now this series of criticizing league adds up two more names with the likes of the former wicket keeper Syed Kirmani while speaking to the India today teams says,
Β βIf you are not performing in a few innings, irrespective of however experienced you might be, the selection committee takes a call and says, ‘Thatβs it. Go back to domestic cricket, come back to form and then we will see if we can fit you back into the Indian team’. Don’t see why that can’t apply to Virat Kohli,”
Well currently, Virat Kohli is out of action due to his groin injury and as per experts, the injury may worsen if the players shows a little bit of activeness when it is not required. According to the experts, Kohli cannot touch the ground unless he is 100 percent fit.
The Indian selectors have recently chosen their 16 member squad for the tour against West Indies. Shikhar Dhawan has been selected to be the captain of this set of team whereas Ravindra Jadeja will lead it as Deputy.
