From the time the T20 format of cricket has come into existence, all we know is cricket, cricket & just cricket. It is because of the 20 over format which nowadays has been liked by most in the world giving the time and opportunity to watch the beautiful game of cricket in shorter time. But usually, it was not the case before. Where the entire 50-50 over match used to take an entire day to sit and watch. Although the normal 50 over match is still prevalent till today, but the craze and momentum the T20 format has gained in short time, is something not comprehensible.
Let’s come to the point for which we came here for and this is about ECB also known as Emirates Cricket Board all set to launch their own set of teams in order to grow the sport inside their own country.
ECB has just recently announced and confirmed that it will inaugurate the ILT20 league between January – February next year (2023) and will also be called as international league or ILT20. On the occasion of such sport event inside the country, the chairman of the ECB firstly welcomed all the six-participating team in the league and said,
“Such illustrious, experienced names and entities as partners bodes well for the UAE T20 League. Through the commitment of these partners, they have demonstrated confidence in the Emirates Cricket Board as we take the game into the future”.
As mentioned above, total six team will be participating in the league which will include the likes of the Sharukh Khan owned Kolkata knight Rider, GMR, Broadcaster Zee, Lancer Capital, Adani SportsLine, & never the least Capri Global.
All the six team will be scheduled in such a way that all of these teams will have a 34 – match schedule and will be held at the world stadium facilities of the UAE. According to the news release, the event will take place right after the year ends, starting from January 6th till February 12th, 2023. further added saying,
“As we begin this long journey I am confident that together we will achieve new heights and in the process provide entertainment and excitement to the millions of fans around the globe who are waiting for the first ball of the UAE T20 League to be bowled.”

“On behalf of ECB let me assure everyone that whilst being entertained on field with cricket, you will also be entertained by our traditional UAE hospitality off the field.”
Another chairman of the ILT20, Khalid Al Zarooni said, that the tournaments main focus would be to identifying and embracing initiatives that are successful for the game but more importantly strengthen and boost the country’s rising talent right to the surface with more exposure.
“The annual ILT20 event presents an excellent exposure for our players given the highly intense and competitive nature of the league. Each of the six teams in the 34-match tournament provide a wonderful opportunity for our young cricketers to play competitive cricket with world-class players.”

So, you seen how effective and mind blowing the cricket event based on T20 format has built a set of larger audiences not only in fewer countries like Australia, India and West Indies but also now the middle east.
