Regular Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma could sit. He will be resting for a few games to keep up with his workload. The energetic batsman Suryakumar Yadav leads the team in his absence. The move aims to keep Rohit fit for the start of the 2021-23 ICC World Test Championship (WTC). This team meets for India vs Australia final of WTC on June 7th at the Oval, London.

According to the report, Rohit will selectively choose the IPL matches he plays this season while continuing to travel with the squad and support Suryakumar Yadav.
