Former Australia all-rounder Shane Watson revealed his top five players that he would select as a part of a World T20 XI. in his list, Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav also featured, which is a fresh achievement Indian player. The 31-year-old Indian batter is on no.2 in the ICC’s men’s T20 ranking.

Watson, who has given coaching for a long time after taking retirement from the Australian national team. During his years in coaching, he is keeping a close eye on some of the best T20I performers all over the world and keen waits for the ICC T20 World Cup which is scheduled to take place in Australia in October of this year.

  Recently, he has guided Delhi Capital’s players as their assistant coach in the Indian Premier League in this year.

First one I’d pick would be Babar Azam. He is the No. 1 in T20I batters in the World, and he just knows how to dominate and overcome in ranking. It is like he’s not even taking any risks, and he scores incredibly quickly against the best bowlers in the world, said Watson on a question during the recent episode of ICC Review program on Tuesday.

He (Babar) is going to do very well in Australian conditions (during the T20 World Cup) as well, as his techniques is very much built for Australian conditions, Watson added.

Second one is Surya Kumar Yadav (the Indian batter). He is batting incredibly well, and he would be my No. 2 pick, continued Watson.

Though Yadav is on No. 2 in T20 ranking, I would not be surprised if his (Suryakumar Yadav) teammate KL Rahul does well in T20 World Cup as he is back in the team after a long-time injury layoff, further stated Watson.

The Aussie’s former all-rounder further picked his nationhood player David Warner on number three, thereafter he picked England’s Jos Buttler and at the end selected Shaheen Afridi, another Pakistani player. During the conversation, he recited the reasons behind picking the above players.
