Mandhan completed brilliant half-century (63 off 42 balls)

Indian woman team register their first buzzing win at Edgbaston, in Birmingham CWG on Sunday. India beat their arch rival Pakistan by 8 wickets. Smriti Mandhana, the Indian vice skipper stars her stormy batting during the second inning; she completed a brilliant half-century (63 off 42 balls including 8 fours and 3 six) and took India to win as opener. Bowler Sneh Rana (2/15 of 4 over), Radha Yadav (2/18 of 3 over) and Shafali played a pivotal role in the above buzzing win as India rolled out Pak team on 99 score.

          The Pak initial was very bad as they won the toss and decided to bat first. Indian pacer Meghna Singh booked Iram Javed on 0 of 1.3 ball. After losing Javed’s wicket, Pak Start faltered and Indian woman bowler dominated them.

Finally whole team of Pak booked on 99. Muneeba Ali (32 off 30 balls, 3 fours, 1 six), Captain Bismah Maroof (17 off 19 balls) and middle woman batter 18 off 22 balls) scored a little bit well from the Pak side.

          Chasing and easy target, Smriti Mandhana showed her stormy batting performance as she completed her maiden brilliant half century in the CWG. Mandhana’s unbeaten 63 off 42 balls, took India to win as she was standing lonely like a lioness against Pakistani women on two wicket loss. She hit 3 huge sixes and 8 fours during her batting. All-rounder Shafali Verma (16 off 9 balls, 2 fours, 1 six ; c out), Sabhineni Meghna (14 off 16 balls, 2 fours), Jemmimah Rodrigues ( 2 off 3; not out) scored for the team. Indian won the match by 8 wickets as well as 38 balls.
