- Shams Mulani expected to get ‘Maiden’ call for national level
Indian opener batter Shubhman Gill could be announced the captain of India ‘A’ team for three 4-day matches series against New Zealand next month, as per reports. Gill could be also the chance to lead the national level ‘A’ team for the three ODI fixtures. The tournament will take place in the initial of September and Start on the 1st of the month. On the other hand, Shams Mulani, the all-rounder cricketer of the Mumbai home cricket team is expected to get a maiden call for the national-level team.
Shahbaz Ahmed, who is in the Indian squad in Zimbabwe, is likely to be India ‘A’. Washington Sundar would be back and named in the squad, some other new names may be in the squad of India ‘A’ as per the report.

The national selectors are likely to reward Shams Mulani after the left-arm spinning all-rounder enjoyed a prolific season for Mumbai both the senior and under-25 levels.
The 25-year-old is set to get his maiden India ‘A’ call-up for the three four-day matches against touring New Zealand ‘A’ side in September, English leading added in the report.
According to the report, though the team is yet to be announced by the BCCI, but it is very sure that Shubhman Gill will lead India in both the four-day and three one dayers series against the Kiwis.
The four-day series will start on September 1 in Banglore. The first four-day match will be played between September 1-4, the second match will be held on September 8-11 and the final four-day to be unofficially organized on September 15-18, while the one-dayers will be held in Chennai on September 22, 25, and 27.
On the other hand, Tom Bruce will lead the NZ ‘A’ squad. He has played seven international matches. The tour resumes the ‘A’ level, which was stalled due to Covid-19 pandemic.
