After handing over the Indian squad’s rein to KL Rahul from Shikhar Dhawan, the senior selection committee of BCCI made a recent change in the team for the Zimbabwe series on Tuesday. The Committee announced Shahbaz Ahmad as the replacement for Washington Sundar for the scheduled three matches ODI series. The above series will begin on August 18.
The BCCI informed on its official Twitter handle, wrote, Update- Shahbaz Ahmed replaces injured Washington Sundar for Zimbabwe series.

According to BCCI Secretary Jay Shah, Sundar injured his shoulder while playing a county game (the domestic first-class cricket competition in England and Wales) in England. He has been ruled out of the Zimbabwe tour.
India will play the first ODI against Zimbabwe at the Harare Sports Club on August 18, 2022.
