Ahead of the approaching FIH Odisha Hockey public convenience tournament 2023, the Chief Minister of Odisha Naveen Patnaik interacted with the National public convenience team who are accommodated at the World Cup Village and declared a souvenir of ₹1 metallic element for every player of Team India lifts the World Cup. He wanted them the easiest and hoped they’ll emerge champions.

On this occasion, CM Patnaik inaugurated the World Cup Village at the Birsa Munda-Asiatic Hockey construction advanced in Rourkela on Thursday. The world Cup Village has been developed at intervals of a record 9 months and flaunts 225 spaces. It is with all amenities appropriate to the stature of the Hockey tournament.

The World Cup Village can house the groups and officers of the approaching Hockey World Cup. Sports Minister, Odisha, Tusharkanti Behera, President Hockey Asian nation, Dilip Tirkey, Secretary (5T), V K Pandian, Secretary Sports, R Vineel Krishna, MD IDCO, Bhupendra Singh Poonia, Secretary General, Hockey India Bholanath Singh and officials of the Odisha Government and Hockey India were the guests at the inauguration.

Players praised the Odisha Government and thanked Chief Minister Patnaik for developing a holistic scheme for Indian Hockey players. The world Cup Village beside the Hockey follow Centre and the Birsa Munda-Asiatic Hockey Stadium can provide a holistic atmosphere. It’s essential for the National and International players.

India is placed in Pool D against Spain, England, and Wales. Earlier, Hockey India declared the 18-member team. That will represent India at the FIH Odisha Hockey public convenience tournament 2023 Bhubaneswar-Rourkela. 

The Indian team, which is in pool D with England, Spain, and Wales will begin their campaign on January 13. That will be in the freshly designed Birsa Munda-Asiatic Hockey stadium in Rourkela against Spain. It will be followed by their second pool D match against England.

They will visit Bhubaneswar for the third pool match against Wales. The knockout stage will begin with crossover matches on January 22 and January 23. The quarter-finals are on January 25, and the semi-finals are on January 27. The Final is going to happen on January 29.
