It seems like Ronaldo is ready to interrupt Saudi Arabia’s law by habitation with partner Georgina Rodriguez. The couple is not married and beneath Saudi law, it’s illegal to stay in the same house while unmarried. Despite the law, the pair are not expected to be disciplined by authorities. In a move that several fans and consultants expected to happen, Cristiano Ronaldo joined Saudi club Al Nassr on a 2-year contract last week. The Portugal captain saw Manchester United terminate his contract. That was after his controversial interview with Piers Morgan, wherever he criticized the club’s hierarchy and manager. In a statement, Al Nassr unconcealed that Ronaldo joined the side on a deal till 2025. It’s been calculable to be valued at over two hundred million euros.
Al Nassr were forced to set back their 1st Saudi professional League match. That was after the arrival of Ronaldo by 24 hours for technical issues at their stadium. The 37-year-old isn’t expected to form his debut due for two-games. He received a smashing call from an Everton fan’s phone, as he walked off the field after a match at Goodison Park in April last year.
Despite the law, the pair are not expected to be disciplined by authorities. Ronaldo met Georgina while taking part in Real Madrid in 2016. They have 2 child’s (Bella and Alana) together. He also has 3 alternative children, Cristiano Jr, Eva, and Mateo, who are twins.
According to the Spanish press agency EFE, Ronaldo’s standing makes a penalization extremely unlikely. EFE also quoted two Saudi lawyers, who expected the authorities wouldn’t take any action against the previous Real Madrid, Juventus, and Manchester United star. “Although the laws still prohibit living together while not a wedding contract. The authorities have begun to show a blind eye and don’t rag anyone. Of course, these laws are used once there’s a haul or a crime”, one professional person said.
“The Saudi authorities, today, do not interfere during this matter [in the case of foreigners]. However, the law continues to ban cohabitation outside of marriage”, another added.
