Rishabh Pant and Dinesh Karthik can be accommodated in the playing XI If Hardik Pandya is the fifth bowler: Sunil Gavaskar

Former cricketer Sunil Gavaskar feels India can accommodate both wicketkeepers-Dinesh Karthik and Rishabh Pant in the playing XI by using Hardik Pandya as the fifth bowling option in the T20 World Cup in Australia. Karthik and Pant both have been fixtured in the 15-member Indian squad for the multinational tournament, and now vying for a spot in the XI for their first clash against Pakistan at Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne on Sunday, October 23.

The 73-year-old Commentator has suggested an idea for both star wicketkeeper batters. It’s just that maybe, If the Indian think tank decides to go with six bowlers, with Hardik Pandya being the sixth bowler, then there would be no chance for Pant, and if Selectors and Rohit Sharma try to go with Pandya as a fifth bowler, then Pant and Karthik both may be a chance to be in playing XI.
