Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) first-level batsman Rajat Patidar, due to his heel injury will miss the full IPL season on Tuesday. This is a major blow to the RCB team.
The 29-year-old was RCB’s third-top scorer on 333 carries in eight games last year on 55.50, including two fifties. He achieved the fastest century by an Indian in IPL in Qualifier 1.

In the released statement RCB explained,” We wish Rajat a speedy recovery and will continue to support him throughout the process. The coaches and management have decided not to appoint a substitute for Rajat just yet.” they added. We originally thought that Patidar, who picked up an injury before joining the RCB camp, would be available for at least the second half of the IPL season. But Tuesday’s announcement added to the team’s concerns.” The news came at a time when Australia’s Josh Hazlewood has also updated his status. The team’s second-biggest bowler last season with 20 wickets in 12 games, has indicated he won’t be ready for the game until the fourth week of April.
On Monday, RCB’s England pacer Reece Topley dislocated his right shoulder while playing here in the team’s eight-wicket win over the Mumbai Indians.
