As per the reports, the Paris-Saint-Germain(PSG) has refused to sign the most admired and star football player Cristiano Ronaldo who professionally plays for premier league club Manchester United forward.
Just before a month, Ronaldo ended their contract with the English football club Manchester United and the club lost their star player Ronaldo. It was big news that the PSG will be singing the Ronaldo and the football fans can experience the double enjoyment with their two superstar players as Lionel Messi was also playing from the same club PSG.
But now, according to the sources, PSG has denied signing a contract with Cristiano Ronaldo. The club took this decision after the discussion with President Nasser Al-Khelaifi and the player’s agent Jorge Mendes.
Ronaldo wants to leave Old Trafford as he also wants to compete in the Champions League in the upcoming tournaments at the same time, but he wants to get paid more than the salary which he weekly charges as £500,000.
A club like PSG is not enough capable to provide this scale and was paying the other star players like Lionel Messi and Neymar with the regular pay scale. But now it is seems impossible. It is the only reason that the President of the club Naser Al-Khelafi and the agent Jorge Mendis have finalized to deny the offer of signing Ronaldo.
PSG made it clear that they don’t feel Ronaldo is the correct name to get signed for this time and the club is not having enough space in their billing array. In addition to this, the new manager Christophe Galtier wants to start a practice season along with the former coach who has already planned the team Neymar, Lionel Messi, and Kylian Mbappe in one frame. Now, adding Ronaldo to a team and starting from scratch will be a waste of time and effort.
In spite of this transfer activity, Manchester United still want to shake their hands with Ronaldo.
Manchester United’s new manager Erik ten Hag expressed his words in favor of Ronaldo on Monday in a press conference. He said,
We are planning for Cristiano Ronaldo for the season and that’s it. I’m looking forward to working with him. I have read [that he wants to leave], but what I say is Cristiano is not for sale, he is in our plans and we want success together.
He added,
“I spoke with him before this issue came up, I had a conversation with him and I had a good talk. That is between Cristiano and me. What I can confirm is we had a really good conversation together.”
