In the world of Indian test cricket, if there’s somebody who has added his crucial innings, is none other than, Ajinkya Rahane. Rahane is one of the most underrated cricketers who in the initial period of his career was active as white ball experts but later he cemented his hold in the red ball cricket which is the longest format of cricket.
On his birthday, all the cricket veterans from current to former has come forward in order to wish the player, born & bought in Maharashtra. Ajinkya was born in 1988, June 6th, and showed mettle in the IPL for the former Rajasthan Royals and the current Kolkata Knight Riders.
Ajinkya Rahane, also known as a complete team man, came into limelight last year playing against the Australians. During his innings, Rahane played a fantabulous innings. In the second test also, Rahane displayed his skills making century and helping his team from the front to fight back and level the series. But later the player, became a bit unfortunate due to his frequent injuries but this did not lead the veteran player to slowdown. At the Gabba fortress itself, Ajinkya led the Indian team by 2-1 against the Australians.
Some crucial things to know about Ajinkya is that he started his T20 innings as well as the ODI debut from 2011 but made his seat secured in the test from 2013. If you look at Rahane’s overall record till now then he has scored 8268 runs from 82 tests, 20 T20Is, and 90 ODI’s. Rahane since last year is going through lots of ups and down’s and if talking about test, he was seen in the last test against South Africa but later he was dropped against Sri Lanka but later he played in the Ranjhi Trophy and mad a comeback playing in the IPL for Kolkata Knight Riders. Back in 2014, Ajinkya played a beautiful knock of 103* against the English team and provided a lot of help for his team.
