The selector’s decision to bring KL Rahul as the new captain hasn’t gone well with many as they all are questioning the same thing that why KL Rahul has suddenly been named as the captain and why the senior cricketer like Shikhar has been replaced.
Previously he was just included inside the team as a player, but now once he has recovered from COVID-19, he has been named as the captain of the Indian National team. In supporting the unfair game, the former cricketer, Mohammed Kaif has come in saying,
It is not nice for Shikhar, as a player, he is very chilled out, he will not care but it is not right for Shikhar Dhawan,

Kaif praises Shikhar Dhawan saying that he has a lot of cricket left in him but he feels surprised when he sees him playing only the ODI formats.
He is a better player than that, he can play other formats as well. I salute him. He just plays ODIs, but whenever he plays, he scores runs. He did well against West Indies, he scores whenever he gets an opportunity,
