‘No warnings were given’: Heather Knight accuses Deepti Sharma of ‘Iying’ over caution claim

England Women skipper Heather Knight has accused India’s Deepti Sharma of ‘lying’ over claims Charlie Dean’s wicket which turned the final match at Lord’s into the visitor’s bag. She said that Dean was warned before her ‘Mankad’ dismissal on Saturday.

She wrote on Twitter, No warnings were given. They don’t need to be given, so it hasn’t made the dismissal any less legitimate.

With the 16-run win, India sealed the ODI series 3-0. It was India’s great victory over England. After Dean’s Mankad run-out the host team is tearing up and accusing India and Deepti Sharma.

Deepti Sharma’s reactions to allegations:

Deepti Sharma denied the allegations, and said that the dismissal was formulated after repeated warnings were given to the batter (Charlie Dean). She added, “We had repeatedly warned her [Charlie Dean].”
