Navneet's brace hands India 3-1 win over Japan, finish 9th in the Women's Hockey World Cup

Indian women’s Hockey team succeed to secured their place for 9th position against Japan in Women’s Hockey on Wednesday. Navneet Kaur played a superb brace hand as India win with 3-1 over Japan. Following the victory Indian women’s hockey team’s campaign in the World Cup comes to an end. India had already out from the quarterfinal round.

          The Indian team had to play two matches for securing their place between 9th-16th. In this order, team India won the first match against Canada with 3-2 and secured a place between 9th to 12th. Now, after taking over Japan The team India has finished 9th  raking in Women’s Hockey.

          Navneet Kaur performed a pivotal role in India’s winning against Japan at Estadi Olímpic de Terrassa in Spain on Wednesday. Kaur scored two brilliant goals (in the 30th and 45th minute’s start of the match). Deep Grace Ekka also scored a magical goal during the match from India’s side. The only one goal has been completed from Japan’s player Yu Asai side as India won by 3-1.

          In the initial quarter of the match, both teams challenging each other equally as both teams could score a goal. Then, Vandana Katariya from Indian side got a chance to take lead for team and she played a magical close-range shot, but Japan goalkeeper Ekka Nacamura succeed to put back her shot.

          Indian team off a perfect start in the start of second quarter, but could not score a goal. Then Yu Asai scored a goal from Japan’s side in 20th minute of the game. It was the troubling moment for team India as Japan took lead by 1-0. The team India moved in attacking for as their nature in the situation of do or lose in the end of the game.

The Japani’s players could not face India’s attack and surrendered. Indian player Navneet Kaur hit a perfect shot a counterattack on 30th minutes as team scored a goal. Kaur and Vandana continued in their attacking form and scored a brilliant goal again in 45th minute of the game as India took over with 2-1 against the opponent and finished for 9th ranking.

Hockey experts said,

          “Indian player’s confidence will boost Following the above win and ready with double energy for commonwealth games which is scheduled to start on July 28th and run till August 8th.”
