Former Moroccan tennis player Younes Rachidi has been found guilty for almost 135 match-fixing offenses. The 36-year-old tennis player was also recently involved in an agreement with two Algerian players suspended by the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA).
According to ITIA, Younes Rachidi has the highest number of crimes ever committed by one person.
With this decision, the Morocco international is now banned from playing, training, or even participating in any tennis tournament sanctioned or sanctioned by its governing bodies. He has a fine to pay around $34,000 with a lifetime ban. (Read Also: Indian Tennis Player Sania Mirza and Bethanie Mattek-Sands are out of Abu Dhabi Open)
“The case was ruled by Independent Anti-Corruption Hearing Officer Janie Soubliere, who found all charges proven and all 135 violations ‘egregious’ and imposed a $34,000 fine in addition to a lifetime ban,” ITIA said in a statement from Thursday. Speaking of his tennis career, Rachidi had the highest ATP ranking in doubles with 473.
Meanwhile, his highest ATP singles ranking is 753. He played his last tournament at ITF F4 Morocco in 2017.
