Ex- Australia captain Michael Clarke could be in danger of losing a lucrative commentary deal for the India vs Australia Border-Gavaskar Trophy. After a Michel Clarke video of his row with his girlfriend went viral on social media.
The 2015 world champion captain became involved in a heated debate with his girlfriend Jade Yarbrough while on holiday in Noosa, Queensland.

The nearly three-minute video was shot from a distance and has a blurry image, but the sound is clear enough. Yarbrough is heard screaming about Clarke’s alleged physical relations with his ex-girlfriend, high profile fashion designer Pip Edwards.
“Are you going to send her to India?” Yarbrough yells in the video. “I saw the text messages. ‘You are the love of my life Pip, come with me to India,'” she adds. Before slapping Clarke in the face, even as the 41-year-old pleads not guilty. Clarke was joined by Yarbrough, his sister Jasmine and her husband and media personality Karl Stefanovic.
The video was published by The Daily Telegraph. Reports in Australian media claim that the Australian cricket star has already lost a potential deal with a skincare brand. There was no official comment. About the Cricket Australia incident but have reportedly opened an investigation into the matter.
According to various Australian media reports, this may be just the beginning of Cricket Australia’s troubles. The former right-handed batsman could lose his commentary contract for the four-game Test series in India. BCCI the Cricket Board of India and host broadcaster Star Sports have the right to award or terminate the contracts of any commentator.
Clarke, who has represented Australia in 115 Tests, 245 ODIs and 34 T20Is, scoring 8643, 7981 and 488 runs respectively, has apologized for his behaviour. “I am absolutely devastated. I put people I value most in this role. My actions leading up to this altercation were downright shameful and regrettable. I totally own this and I am solely to blame,” Clarke told The Daily Telegraph. Australia is set to head to India for a four-fight Test series after nearly six years. The test series will start in Nagpur on February 9th.
