Melbourne Cricket wants to conduct India Pakistan series of 3 tests on MCG

The Melbourne Cricket Club (MCC) is wanting the chance of hosting a match game between India vs Pakistan. Both the teams haven’t competed against one another within the longest format of the sport since 2007 as bilateral cricket. (Read Also: PCB’s Disappointing comments on Raja’s Allegations)

Since India hosted Pakistan during a bilateral restricted overs series in 2013 the try has solely competed against each other at 20 and 50-overs World Cups and therefore the Asia Cup.

The last time they met was at the T20 World Cup in October this year. Where over 90,000 fans cumulous into the Melbourne Cricket Ground to observe India win a last-ball thriller.

MCC Chief government Stuart Fox the atmosphere at that match showed there would be no downside filling the venue. It is encouraging to look at the series between India vs Pakistan.

“We’ve taken that up with Cricket Australia. I do know the (Victoria) government has as well. It’s staggeringly sophisticated from what I will understand, amongst a very busy schedule. Therefore, I feel that is in all probability the bigger challenge.”

Fox said he hoped Cricket Australia would keep pushing the proposal with the International Cricket Council, the sport’s international governing body.
