After finishing the Commonwealth Games-2022 campaign in Birmingham with a notable Gold medal, Aussie Skipper Meg Lanning took a sudden break from cricket. She announced that she is making distance from cricket due to personal reasons.
The Australian women’s national team captain played for her country just three days ago at the Edgbaston in Birmingham CWG where she won the gold after helping her side beat India by 9 runs.
After a busy couple of years, I have made the decision to take a step back to enable me to spend time focusing on myself, Lanning said in a statement published by Cricket Australia’s twitter handle.
