They are most dangerous when they are together as a team. Los Angeles Lakers’ megastars LeBron James and Anthony Davis are one of the most dominant connections in NBA history. This bunch has earned the Lakers a crown before, and it’s clear that LeBron and the meter are empty for more. Despite their on-pitch chemistry, it seems these two don’t have a great relationship off the pitch.
At least that’s what famous NBA basketball bigwig Colin Cowherd says. “I was embarrassed by the Lakers saying, LeBron and the ad, after that reaction to LeBron breaking Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s all-time scoring record, they’re not boys. It’s not hostile, but these aren’t boys, are they? Cowherd said on his podcast recently. “You can tell by the body language. “There has been a lot of talk about Davis’ insane reaction to LeBron breaking the goal record for many weeks. While everyone in the structure was celebrating, an advertisement was seen on the bench. Davis recently admitted he was simply frustrated with how the game was going at the time and had nothing to do with James’ corner. However, despite what many people would have you believe, there was a lot more to it than what appeared on the face. Still, this should also explain why Davis reacted the way he did during LeBron’s big night if Cowherd’s sources are correct. James himself is said to have some concerns about the ad and his commitment to the cause. “I think there’s a sense that LeBron feels like he needs him at least this whole year. Because they told me last time. There are times when LeBron is disappointed,” Cowherd continued. “(Davis) came out of shape after the bubble. It was his turn to take the train triumphantly. When LeBron is absent, the ads often don’t play as well. And there was some disappointment in the LeBron James troop.”
