The BCCI President Sourav Ganguly ratified that the Indian Premier League (IPL) will return to its original, pre Covid-19, home-and-away format from the upcoming 2023 season.
The next season of men’s IPL will also go back to the home and away format with all ten teams playing their home matches at their designated venues, Ganguly said in a note to state units of the board.

Earlier, in 2020, the tournament was conducted in three venues Dubai, Sharjah, and Abu Dhabi of UAE, while in the 2021, it was held in India’s Delhi, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, and Chennai. “The BCCI is currently working on the much-awaited women’s IPL,”He also stated about women’s IPL in the note.
