Chennai Super Kings: Under the captaincy of the cricketing genius MS Dhoni, CSK has been a force to be reckoned with since the start of the tournament. Though in this iteration of the IPL they did take their time to get into their winning rhythm but once they did, they were unstoppable now. Power hitters like Faf Du Plessis, Suresh Raina & Ruturaj Gaikwad were consistent with their hits with the bat & bowlers like Deepak Chahar & Shardul Thakur took care of the rest. The all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja proved to be a very good deal for CSK as he took care of both batting & bowling. A strong run rate & even stronger lineup of players they are very much expected to secure a place in the playoffs.
Lucknow Super Giants: The KL Rahul led team proved to be a surprise package for this IPL, after they were off to a rocky start in start, they quickly got hold of themselves & marked their return with some unforgettable performances & wins. With a very capable captaincy of KL Rahul who has more than once proved himself to be a capable win-maker, LSG has a strong lineup of both batsmen & bowlers who have not only chased big targets but have also reduced the opposing team to very low scores.
Apart from the above 2 names teams like MI & RCB still have the chance to get into the playoffs by turning their fortunes around. MI under Rohit Sharma & RCB under Ab de Villiers are very strong contenders to make it to the playoffs.
