Indian Women Cricket Team Captain Harmanpreet Kaur re-signs with Melbourne Renegades for WBBL 8

The most awaited Women Big Bash League, and one of its team Melbourne Renegades has re-signed the Indian Women’s team skipper, Harmanpreet Kaur for her performance for the same team last season. The franchise took the news to its twitter handle welcoming the player once again.

Last season while playing for the Renegades, was the leading run scorer with amassing 406 runs in total and long with 15 wickets under her name. She was also named the player of the tournament last season.

On the occasion of being selected again in the team, excited Kaur said,

“I’m excited to be coming back to the Renegades. I really enjoyed being part of the team environment last season and feel like that helped me produce some of my best cricket. Personally, I just wanted to play my role for the team and it was pleasing to be able to do that”.

She further added,

“We supported each other as a team last year and were able to get some good results, but we still have plenty of room to improve. Hopefully, we can do that, make the finals again and put ourselves in a position to compete for the title,”

Hailing from the state of Punjab, the allrounder has so far played 48 matches in the league (WBBL) with amassing 1119 runs with highest 81 runs being not out. She has also been able to grab 27 wickets out of all the 48 matches played.

Whereas if we see about her record made in the T20 international cricket he has in total played 124 matches with amassing 2411 runs with 103 as her best score. Recently, Kaur has been also named to lead the Indian national team, India.
