Indian women and men to begin FIH Pro League campaign in Bhubaneswar

Following the International Hockey Federation’s (FIH) Thursday announcement of the fifth Pro League season schedule

In their respective opening games of the FIH Pro League 2023/2024 season in Bhubaneswar, the Indian women’s hockey team will play China while the men’s squad will play Spain.

The Indian players expressed enthusiasm after the International Hockey Federation (FIH) released the schedule for the fifth Pro League season on Thursday because they think the exposure from this outing will aid in their preparations for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Paris.

Both teams will start their seasons with at-home contests at the Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium in Rourkela and the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneshwar, respectively.

On February 6 at the Kalinga Stadium, the Indian women’s team—which was given a promotion after winning the FIH Nations League—will go out first against China.

After that, it will play matches against the Netherlands, Australia, and the United States before moving to Rourkela, where it will face China, the Netherlands, Australia, and the United States once more. Read Also: ICC launches official ODI World Cup 2023 film featuring Shah Rukh Khan
