In a shocking update, the star bowler of the Indian national team Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the T20 WC. According to media sources, the reason behind such a shocker has been said to be the stress fracture which has led to such a massive blow to the team.
The good news is that no surgery is required but will take 4-6 months for the problem to heal. A BCCI official confirmed while speaking to the press trust of India on the surety of anonymity, stating,
‘Bumrah is not going to play the World T20 for sure. He has a serious back condition. It’s a stress fracture and he could be out for a period of six months,’
BCCI
For sure is the word used here by the BCCI official.
Surprisingly, it is the same reason why Jasprit was kept out of the Asia Cup 2022 and at that time he was recovering at the National Academy of Cricket at Bengaluru.
Against Australia, which was recently concluded, except Mohali he was given chance to play in the two winning matches, but despite seeming good overall was not at his best and why we say so,
Because Bumrah in his chance in the second T20I gave 23 runs taking just 1 wicket whereas in the third and the final match, he gave 50 runs without taking any wicket.
