Indian Men’s Hockey team falls 1-3 to Great Britain in FIH Pro League.

Hosts Great Britain produced a high-voltage performance backed by a quick attack that helped them secure a 3-1 win over Indian hockey team on Sunday in the ongoing FIH Hockey Pro League at Lee Valley Hockey Stadium in London. Early goals from Nicholas Bandurak (2′, 11′) and Will Calnan (47′) gave the home team a vital win while Abhishek (35′) scored India’s only goal.

Hardik put up a fight to get into the circle a few minutes into the quarter, but no real chances came out of it. In the next minute, Abhishek finally gave the Indian team a break with a reverse goal in the 35th minute. He did well with a good touch to get a long pass from midfield and hit the target. Continuing the run, Abhishek helped India beat CP in the next innings. But Harmanpreet’s shot missed the target. Next units see India and with the game after the Senshesh closely closed a good goal. Last three minutes of three minutes see both sports teams and one can not tell.

However, Great Britain produced a brilliant finish, extending their lead in the 47th minute through Calnan. Although India challenged the goal via video, the third official ruled against India’s appeal. A few PCs were given to India, but none were successful, ending the game with a 1–3 win.

The Indian men’s hockey team will face Germany in the next match at 9:45 pm IST on June 8.
